Headphones, Which Brand? Advice is welcome.
Question:

Hello. I have got £40 to spend on a new pair of headphones. I recently had a pair of £15 Philips ones. The big ones that fit around your ears. But the wire started to get worse and worse, until they just stopped responding. It took a year for them to get that way though.
Now, I have been looking into these cordless ones, but not sure if the sound quality will be as good or not. I use HP's alot, and am a buff of technology, so any sound inperfection wont do as far as I am concerned.
From stores such as Dixons, Curry's, Comet, Argos or whatever...can anyone recommend a pair for me? Maybe tell me if cordless is any different sound-wise to ones with cords.
I was looking at a pair of Technics ones from Argos, priced at £30, and they looked good, had ear-fitting covers (not the flat ones), and seemed from the picture to have a thicker cable...Dont know if they are any good or not though.
Any help would be very grateful as I am going out to buy a pair on Friday to Bolton mall. Cheers.

The Beyerdynamic headphones sound like they could be a good bet for about £40

Seconded :rocker: I got my pair for £35 from a local shop & they are superb for the money. I have also tested them against a few different model Sennheisers at my Uni & they whup em to bits.

If you can't get the Beyerdynamic ones, then Richer Sounds do the Sennheiser HD497 for about £40 and IMO they are pretty good.

Sennheiser make the best headphones going, Richers would be a good place to start, agreed.
