Bejeezus!! Is no TV safe!?!?!?!?
Question:

In the market for a new 32" widescreen telly. Paid my first visits to avforums, for a bit of info & advice on various models I'd espied. From the postings there, it would appear that every set ever made....ever, has got serious problems with geometry, interference, smearing, blocking, ropey tubes etc etc etc.... Is no-one happy with their set?!??!!? Every single set I'd shortlisted had page after page of people moaning about colour bars, skewed geometry, iffy RGB...and on and on and on...
I'm hovering over the 'SUBMIT' button for an order on a Panny TX32PL1 as we speak. No doubt thousands of you have got horror stories....:(

The KV-28LS60 (28") & KV-32LS60 (32") Sony models are class & have no problems whatsoever with RBG, NTSC, dodgy geometry or any of the other problems u mentioned. I'm getting my 28LS60 next week :rocker:

I've got a Tosh 36" ZP, which got thousands of posts on AVForums about it's many 'problems'. Mine is just fine, and I love it to bits. But no doubt, if a 'techie' got less loose with a magnifying glass and a set square, they would tell me I've got all sorts of problems from 0.2 degrees of divergence to 0.7nm overscan!?!
Perhaps I'm being a bit critical, but you can take these things a bit too seriously. But then, you could argue very easily that if you're spending over a grand on a telly, it should be blinking well perfect! :|

A close friend of mine had the Sony FQ75 32" and it is a fantastic TV. He loves it.

As long as you have a decent extended warranty and it is a decent brand, that's all you can do.

Why's that? Do Pioneer DVD players not get on well with Sony TVs?
My friend (with the Sony FQ75) has a Pioneer DV636 and that works perfectly with the TV.

Bought the 28pl1 a month ago. So far, no problems, and pleased with the purchase. Did get it from John Lewis though with 5 warranty just in case:norty:

I've got a Pioneer DV-747 hooked up to a Sony KV32FX66 (and a KV32FX60 before that) and have had no problems whatsoever.

I was referring to the Sony LS60 models ,which have major probs with recent Pioneer players.
I bought an 28LS20 for the bedroom and noticed it straight away (interference across the middle of the screen), otherwise I thought it was great set ,geometry on mine was pretty much perfect so I ended up selling the Pioneer 350 I was using and bought a Tosh 220.

Cheers 4 the heads up Keith :)
I will be using the 28LS60 with a Sony MR NS905 DVD player so there should be no probs there (was gonna get a NS900 MR from Richers but they have sold out of the Silver one's lol  ).
