Question:
If my signal is 'okay' (a little ghosting on Ch4), and my postcode is okay, do I have a good chance of succes with, say, the Pace digibox ? (An inexact science, I know.)
I wouldn't worry about ghosting as that sort of thing won't occur with digital tv.
I did have to get a new aerial as although I got a signal but the piciture broke up and pixcellated.
The new one was only a tenner so it wasn't too bad.
Do you meant the Pace digibox which is about the size of a tupperware box, or the ex-ITV Dig Pace box?
The Ex-ITV Pace was/is one of the best for picking up a signal. AFAIK the little Pace FTA digibax isn't great at picking up a weak signal at all(I think the Grundig and Panasonic boxes are better).
