Question:
Duno which forum this question would be suited, but...
How do you clean VCR recording heads?
Do the cleaning tapes that clean the playback heads also clean the recording heads?
Try the cleaning tape first
Otherwise take the cover off the video and use a soft cloth to wipe the heads
I'm having the same dilemma with my VCR at the moment. I need to use my VCR along with the living room VCR to edit a home video but my VCR has dirty heads.
I was told that those cleaning tapes don't work and you're best taking the VCR to a speciallist cleaner. Well that's what the TV rental guy said to my nan once.
