Question:
Hi all, thinking of getting a new dvd player sometime over christmas, but would like some suggestions/reassurance on what to get.
At the moment i have my eyes on the Pioneer DV454 for it's price/ multi-region capability and overall quality, i've done a search through these forums and it seems a very good choice, but i just want to be reassured really :)
I am currently using a Yelo (now kiiro) 800DVD multiregion player, cheap and cheerful, hooked up to a Videologic DTS Digitheatre and a Goodmans 28" widescreen tv using RGB scart.
I also get some small annoying picture disturbances when watching certain discs (Blade for example) such as slight contrast "smears" to the right of moving images and i get a fair bit of colour smearing also, i put this down to the cheap TV, but do you think a new player such as the Pioneer DV454 will improve on these problems? Is there any other players out there for under £200 that is multi-region that wouold be a better choice for me?
Thanks for any help :) again just looking for some reassurance really and any help on the smearing problems.
(P.S i have lowered the contrast on the tv)
I've got the Pioneer DV-454 (bought for £139 - may be even cheaper now). I have it hooked up to a 28" TV and a Videologic Digitheatre DTS and the image looks far better than when using my former player - LG3350e.
Some info on the player can be found here
Cheers for input mate :)
Cannae wait to get my hands on one :/
