Question:
does any one know if the optical to coaxial audio converters as sold in shops like maplin effective? or will I suffer from any loss in sound quality. Can any one reccomend me a good brand as a good price
thanks a bunch
I'm actually looking for the inverse: optical-to-coax. I doubt you'll lose any quality: the signal's a digital one after all (don't want to get into a discussion about which "sounds" better - the argument's bogus IMO).
The only thing I'm worried about are any delays caused in doing this. Would the sound be significantly out of sync with the picture?

thanks flimber ard electronics are so cheap - £12 for converter plus power supply. The do the inverse for about £10. So I dont think we got much to loose Nick dVL
Looking at getting a convertor to hook DVD player to minidisc as well as amp at the same time. Was there any loss in quality? Or does anyone else know?
thanks a bunch
