Question:
Looking for my dad, budget max £250.
I was thinking he doesn't need to spend that much on the player, as he doesn't have a 5.1 system however he does have an Arcam amp and B&W 'bookshelf' speakers (DM601's I think) which are excellent.
His current TV is a 21" 4:3 I think, but he's considering changing to a 24-28" widescreen later.
Oh multiregion, although he doesn't know it is essential!
So any recommendations?
Is the Argos Bush player any good?
Pioneer DV-454 - about £139 (or maybe even cheaper).

Another vote for the Pioneer DV-454, excellent player. (Although i managed to pay £180 for it :rolleyes: )
mmm, oh dear...now I've got an urge to upgrade my LG3350e...is it that much better?

I upgraded from an LG3350e to the Pioneer DV-454 and found that it was noticably better in quality of output. Looks a lot nicer as well. That's just techonology moving on in 2 years though
