Question:
Just got my first dvd player. Awaiting delivery. Got Marantz dv4200. Mainly as it was within budget and was told that for £220 it would provide me with great viewing as well as good audio. Also I was up `til midnight trying to read reviews on players within my price range and I was knackered and I just had to order something. I dont really want to know that I would have been better getting something else. Would appreciate peoples experiences with player (mainly good) and the potential it has for home cinema experience.
**** mate..
Lyp sync problems, doesn't read most of the Disney/Buena Vista discs due to a bug in the player's software and the layer change takes about 10 seconds..
Oh, and if you want the full on home cinema experience with this player then I'd better tell you that the sound drops out on DTS titles..
:oh-hum:*
*not really
How reassuring. Decided to buy a player so that my daughter could enjoy Disney movies.
I'm only joshing - haven't actually got a clue..

Its really a LG... And to be honest, unless you want half decent cd audio replay (which its good at), a Pioneer Dv350 beats it for almost £100 less....
So Justin, with £220 budget which player will give me and my family the best viewing and pleasure as well as reasonable sound. My TV is a Panasonic 28 PL10
