Can I just check, as I'm hunting about for a player for my boss, that the Pioneer DV350 play everything??
S/VCD's, DVD-R's, R1-6 and RCE???
Can't be sure what stuff she's gonna want to play and the dubious sources she'll be getting it from, but if there's nothing it won't play then I know all my bases are covered!
:notworthy

Hey, I don't know about that...... :norty:
I was thinking more about the dodgy dealers that pop up every now and then with VCD's and DVD-R's. There's quite a few of such blokes popping up around our way and whilst I'm a saint when it comes to such things I can't be sure about her!
So SVCD's, VCD's and DVD-R's are ok for the 350?

Toshiba 220E, i picked one up this week and its really good, plays mp3s, vcds, svcds and gives a really good picture when playing dvds too.

I can vouch for vcd's dvd-r and mp3's on the 454 which is essentially the same machine. No problems with any media

DV454 is identical to the DV350, there is absolutley NO difference internally. the differences are merly external (cosmetic changes to the casing, and a optical digital out added). Likewise, the new DV550 is a reboxed DV454 with updated firmware for jpeg support.

Can the DV454 be upgraded to be the same as the DV550?
