Connection Advice Needed (Sky/VCR/DVD)
Question:

I used to have my VCR connected to my Sky box, and the Sky box to the TV via AV1, giving RGB (not from the VCR, obviously). My DVD player was connected using S-Video to AV2.
I bought a couple of good SCARTS cables at the weekend and thought I would try recabling to get RGB from both my DVD player and Digibox.
I connected the DVD player to the Sky box, then the Sky box to AV1 (to get RGB from both). The VCR is now on AV2.
The problem is, when the DVD player is on, it "takes over" AV1 and if I want to watch Sky, I have to switch off the DVD player. This means that I can't record from Sky if I'm watching a DVD.
Are there any solutions for this problem, apart from going back to the old setup ?

Answers:

If you have to have RGB for both dvd and sky then maybe you can use scart box
I use RGB for DVD, and use video (composite) for sky now. I find the picture is brighter than RGB.

Answers:

I would really like RGB for Sky, as we watch it far more than DVD (and the Sky menus look awful in composite).
Anyone else ?

Like Kcxdev says, use a scart box/splitter. Connect the DVD and digibox to the inputs of the scart splitter, then the output of the splitter to your RGB TV scart. You can get a manual scart splitter from beyondhifi (http://www.beyondhifi.net/shopping/moreinfo.asp?ProductID=278) If you want a remote controlled one look at www.keene.co.uk or www.lektropacks.co.uk
