Question:
Is this new model (very interesting, Progressive, oversampling et al) hackable with the standard (Hack 750 Philips, RC6 etc etc) Philips procedure???
If so It would be one of the most interesting (excluding HiEnd players) player on the market with a real unbeatable Price/quality ratio.
Any direct experience from a user (or a "mole" from Philps enviroment) that could provide info on the topic??

theres massive interest from people at the avforums about this player, its taking over the 962 which when imported can do pal and ntsc progressive.
Ive just been on phone to philips and its due out first week in November, i was told it can do pal progressive but the person who phoned me back to confirm date of release says it cant but when i told him all info he is checking it out and will get back to me tommorow.
If iot does do progressive scan it will be a great playuer as it ran a home theatre pc very close in some tests.
I have a panny ptae100 player and am crying out for a pal and ntsc progressive scan player and this could be it, price will be £350 to £400 i think.
Pic and sound is excellent apparently so could be a winner.
the uk 963 definitely has the faroudja progscan chipset so should be exactly the same as elsewhere hackwise..
so the standard 750 hack, and hackable for pal ps.
about time too.
Well very well. I suppose that standard 750 hack IS including multiregion codefree hack:unluckily that was not clear in my message ... sorry!
Keep posting any more news!!!
THNX very much
