When I bought it froim richeer sounds well over a year ago, one of the bullet points on the features list said it plays RCE disks, just tried with one and it says "This disk is intended for play on non-modified Region 1 players".... :(:( Any ideas what to do? cheers
I guess your player is region set to 13 ? or 0 ?
You probably need to set it to region 1 to play the RCE disk
to get to the 'secret' menu its (from memory) Menu 7 7 enter
with no disk in

cheerss, i actually figured that out yestrday, realised maybe if i changed it from 13 to 1 i'd be able to play it, and it worked :):) no other short cuts i dont suppose? without having to go thru that everytime and setting it back to 13 again afterwards?
No offence intended,but isn't the Ariston one of the worst dvd players ever made ?.
erm, i dunno, had it for over a yera and have about 150 dvd's and have very few quibbles about it, but then again, i only have s mall tv and no surround sound etc, so I wouldn't exactly be able to test its quality really, but for playing dvd's, it seems fine enough to me. :)
