Question:
As I am a subscriber, Sky have reduced the price of Sky+ to £200 plus installation.
Anyone out there got it?
Would you recommend it, any problems encountered?
(Not sure if this should be in the TV Forum?)
Its the hardware forum it should be in mate.
Moving :)
I've got it, and it's superb! One of the best features and my main reason for purchasing was recording one channel while watching another!
Hopefully the next update will allow recording two channels (although you won't be able to watch a third one as Sky+ only has two tuners ... which of course is still one more than a standard digibox :D)
Only had one prob, about a week ago, picture went totally balls up and turned to solid colours of pink and green, but it was quickly swapped for another box. Other than that there's the occasional software probs, but you get that on standard digiboxes anyway so nothing really new there.
There's a dedicated Sky+ forum over at DigitalSpy (http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/forumdisplay.php?forumid=53) and an unofficial dedicated Sky+ website called Plusworld (http://www.plusworld.co.uk/)
Its great, I now see those programs on in the early hours of the morning, I can see what i want when I want and will tape stuff on speck to see if its any good. Best of all I can record one channel and watch another. Now I think I'm in control....until those pesky kids nick the controller
