Is it possible to connect all 3?
Question:

Hi,
I have a Sony Widescreen TV with 2 SCART connections. Is it possible to connect:
Pioneer DVD454 player
Sanyo VCR
ntl Cable Box
Preferably with the DVD Player and Cable box through SCART?
Before installing the DVD player, the VCR and cable box were both connected to the SCART connectors.
Now I have removed the VCR and attached the DVD player to the SCART connection.
However now cable TV and the DVD player work fine but the terrestrial TV stations do not work, any ideas why???
Thanks
Carl

You might need another aerial for TV as you will lose the picture if you join cable.

Answers:

dunno much about the cable box but can't you loop the vcr thru the cable box? and have the dvd on its own scart?

Answers:

You could get a Scart splitter from somewhere as simple as Argos and have the VCR/DVD (eg) share a direct channel?

Answers:

Cheers for that everyone!
I cant believe how stupid I am in that I didnt realise SCART splitters existed!

I have a similar situation, but i put my vcr through the cable box

You don't need a splitter box.... Just connect the VCR to the VCR scart socket on the back of the NTL box and connect the NTL box to one of the inputs on your TV. The DVD will connect to the other scart on your tv.
