Question:
I am looking for a second DVD player as my current one is non-multi region, no vcd or cd-r/rw e.c.t.
What I am looking for is a DVD player for under £100 which is multi region, plays VCD and CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW(not essential) and also not essential but would be very helpful is an NTSC to PAL 50 converter, and at a very big stretch either a 5.1 or DTS decoder!:D
Think thats about it, make doesn't really matter.

EDIT: been looking at the Bush player from John lews/argos or posibly the alba one from argos, are they any good? do they meet my needs?
Forgive me for hijacking this thread, steve, but I want to know the same as you ...
For a friend ... she wants to spend as little as possible and get a multi region (doesn't mind hacking but 'out of the box' would be great), and it has to play VCDs (CDRs would be good too but not essential)
This Alba from Argos ... is this the best one to go for?
Any help or advice would be great :)

Sorry, been away. Thanks for the suggestions but I heard that Cyberhome's have a tendancy to break a lot, acoustic solutions looks good.
Ok, I actually need in my dvd player, multi region (and RCE compatible), NTSC to PAL 50 converter (or an option for it to be PAL 50 or 60), vcd,cdr/rw and to make it future proof i'm gonna need it to play some sort of recorded dvd media.
That should give me a few more options because i'm no longer asking for decoders.
