Question:
http://www.beyondhifi.net/images/Products/L363.jpg
is it any good?
Beyond Hifi are selling it for around 65 quid, is that good value?
I have seen alot of designer stuff costing hundreds and not looking that much better.
I haven't got that one but it does look good for the money.
I'd go for it.:)
Ive just got one of those, Its this weekends job to build it, will let you know what its like.....the box weighs a ton and has lots of screws rolling round by the sounds of things, so it sounds like good fun! :)
I got one of these from Argos a few weeks ago:

Don't know if the style is to everyones liking, but I am pleased with it. It cost £79.99, look for product / catalouge number 534 / 1472 . www.argos.co.uk
The sheelves look silver in this picture, but they are actually glass.
Price looks good but it is only 60cm tall with 17cm max between shelves ?

if its heavy and has lots of screws its sturdy:)
ordered one
I've got one, nice and solid.
Comes with spikes it grip the floor too.
Takes 5 mins to assemble.
I've got the Argos one.
Not too bad, looks luvverly when it's built up, although I wasn't too keen on the holes in each leg, they were rather tilted:nuts:
Still it's solid once it's up, :nono:
And the glass shelves are well nice!
Hi-fi does sound a lot more focused and bass is tighter.
Hi-fi is Marantz CD6000OSE LE and PM6010 OSE by the way, with beech Eltax monitor III's:)

I've never really understood the physics behind why a stand can make your hifi sound better.
Was very tempted to get an Atacama stand, but have decided to save 250 quid and get the Argos one. Unless someone can convince me that it's worth the extra money.....
I made one of those lovely Flexi Racks and I'm more than happy with it. only cost about £40 and some of my time.
Boink!

To be honest neither did I :) But I can hear a difference.....
Only reason I bought it was for the looks really, shallow I know. I'm sure the Atacama one will be much better in build quality, but the Argos one is a steal.
I've got a Sound Organisation rack which is ace

Well, went into Audio Exellence to look at the Soundsyle racks. Very sexy, but 300 notes for a 3 shelf stand? Common sense got the better of me and I decided not to buy it. then saw a nice silver Marantz 6010 ose amp for 180 quid and thought "hey nice impulse buy" Then popped into Argos and got the stand from there.
You were right, it does look very nice once assembled and is very solid. I see what you meant about the non-straight holes though. Thought I'd cross threaded one of the legs, but it was just the paint coating on the thread making it stick.
Cool, glad you like the stand, it's a lot better once you see it than you can imagine it to be, and sure as hell beats putting your hi-fi on top of a chest of drawers.
Enjoy your purchases, the amps definately a winner:thumbs:
well I recieved my rack from Beyond Hifi and I set it up today, very easy to put together and very sturdy as it pull itsself tight or should that be TOIGHT as it is very TOIGHT like a macho man.
Get one!
