Is there anyone out there who owns one of the above models? I have a 32" Hitachi (One of the above, don't recall which) and it is 18 months old.
The last couple of months have seen it dropping into stand-by mode by itself and then coming back on by itself moments later. Unfortunately this has now progressed into the TV dropping into stand-by as soon as it is turned on and refusing to start.
I guess it is a power supply issue but it seems a bit of a poor show for such a young TV. If anyone else out there has similar problems I may be able to convince Hitachi that it is a design flaw.

That was what I thought when the problems first started as the TV had often been on for a couple of hours when it started to drop into stand-by.
Unfortunately the problem progressed and it became more regular, going into stand-by after 15 minutes of use for example until it wouldn't start at all.

I have the C28W1TN (3yrs) and had the same problem for the last 12 months. In short its a crap solder on Hitachis part. I got a local TV repairman in & for 23quid he sorted it. Seems it affects most of their sets from 4 - 2 yrs old.
