Question:
I will be going to buy a MJ Acoustics Pro 50 maybe the 100 and a Yamaha RX - V630 RDs maybe tommorow or on thursday but have doubts as for me it's a lot of money being spent and it will leave me broke for a while. I have read the reviews in the magazines saying they are excellent but would rather hear from reviews from people who actually have either of these. Anybody have any horror stories about them or just high praise , anything that will make my mind up one way or the other.
Is the pro 100 good enough for a small room
My room isn't the biggest but will move all the home cinema stuff into another room if the sub sounds well rubbish as it's cluttered up with what I call my stuff , others call junk.
Dave West provides a review of the Yammy DSPAX630SE (the same as the receiver you're looking at minus the tuner) at Area 450here (http://www.area450.com/homecinema/amplifiers/dspax630se.htm), and also compares it with the Sony STRDB1080 here (http://www.area450.com/homecinema/amplifiers/yammyvssony.htm).
I think it's safe to say you'll have no complaints :) It also just won a What HiFi award..
If you're goona drop £300 on a new sub then check out the power buys section over at the www.avforums.com where Uncle Eric is flogging Velodyne CHT-10's for £325 - apparently they knock the socks off anything in it's class..
I'm gonna get one as soon as I can persuade the missus we need one.. :dork:
