I think quite a few of us have it on here, including myself.
I've had it since it came out and i've not looked to upgrading my set-up yet (apart from my TV and DVD).
DTS films sound great, i would think you could finnd them cheaper than the 380 odd quid i paid for mine.
There was a problem with the earlier models which couldn't encode the DTS tracks properly, i had one of those models but Videoligic sorted it out hassle free.
I would think if you bought a new one this error would be corrected.
It may not be as good as dedicated seperates (which are gonna cost a bomb) but for the purposes i use it for (Movies and listening to CDs) it's brilliant. The volume can be outrageous on some tracks. Gladiator and Fast and the Furious DTS are just amazing (not fully tried Savinf Private Ryan yet) even Dolby Digital tracks sound great. LOTR being my new favourite.
The system received 10/10 back in the April/May 1999 issue of DVD Review which was enough for me to take the plunge.

Love mine too, had it about a year now and no problems at all.
I used to have pro-logic separates but did not want to go down that road again because of the costs and size speakers/units and so on. It totally blows pro logic away and the sound is superb.
I know there is a Yamaha version similar in price to the Videologic which may also be looking at but I cant remember what its called.
Anyway see if you can have a listen to one in action, they had one set up at John Lewis when I was looking around.

Yamaha HTib45 (http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/product_main.asp?sku=104718&shopid=SHOPCBDBBDHHBCVQI0448NAHA0244TTWR4070) and for a tad over £300 it's a fantastic bargain. Far better value than the Digitheatre as it has a 'proper' receiver and the added bonus of Pro-Logic II..
There's a pic of it here (http://www.yamaha-audio.co.uk/homecinema/htib/htib-45/index.asp).

yup PLII is well worth getting if you watch a lot of TV or surround movies.

I've had a DigiTheatre DTS for over two years. Like some previous posts, mine had the DTS dropout problem which Videologic sorted without any question. About 6 months ago, I discovered that the analogue input had gone west. Having found out that the manufacturers warranty was two years, I contacted Videologic again. Again no hassle and a few days later I had a brand new unit.
Some people, upon seeing it in the flesh for the first time, tend to think that the small satellite speakers mean poor sound. I show them the opening sequence of Gladiator in DTS and they tend to shut up.
I am more than happy with mine.
