Steve - Can the same be done for a Pioneer NSDV55? I can't see it on that link. (Sorry for the hijack Smac).

no that player needs to have it's firmware reprogrammed and as it's very bulky you really need someone local to do it for you as it's not practical to send it

Answers:

It's not bulky.. I'll just post it in your letterbox. :)
I live in Andover, Hampshire. We don't use electric. (only on the sheep). Thanks anyway.

Not bulky ? isnt that the player that has all the electronics contained inside a bloody big speaker and just a small head unit to control it ?

Answers:

Yeah that s the one.. bloody tiny it is..

Answers:

yes but the head unit is not the player , just a part of the system , the entire system has to be present to perform the upgrade hence the statment that it is bulky

Sorry Steve. My **** taking obviously isn't appreciated. :dork:

it didnt know whether you were taking the **** or you were under the impression that the small head unit was infact the DVD Player and could be sent on it's own , this is a very common assumption that people make , afterall who ever heard of a company putting the bloody player in the speaker
