Question:
Any good?
Bought one about a month ago and haven't had any problems so far. In fact I really like it - smart 'retro' design, midi size, decent remote and v. good buttons on the player, plays everything, easy region hack and macrovision on/off, quick and quiet operation too.
I've got a reasonable (older) Philips player and the picture/sound quality certainly seemed no worse.
HOWEVER! A mate bought one last night (apparently Richer Sounds have had a load more manufactured 'cos the first batch sold out) and the manual now says that it won't play VCDs. He hasn't tried it yet so I'll post again when I find out. Might be worth phoning RS to check.

i had this player before it went back to richer - it will play pretty much everything but 5.1 via optical is awful:eek:
