Question:
Does anyone have any recomendations for a DAB radio, i have a budget of around 300 quid, but ive heard good reviews of the acoustic solutions one in argos for only £130.
There's a new Videologic one comming out. The old 602E(S) was WhatHiFi's DAB receiver of the year last year. Its rrp was £350 but you can get it for £269.
The new 701E(S) has a new generation DAB decoder aswell as usb ports to update the firmware and the rrp is £250. Therefore it should be available below £200 on the street. have a look at <a href="http://www.videologic.com">Videologic</a> (now called Pure Digital) for more info.
From what I have heard, if you you can get Sky then don't bother. The quality of the radio transmissions on Sky is often mentioned as being better than DAB radio
The only problem there is of course if you want the DAB in your car or elsewhere in the house.
There is now a portable radio out for £99.00 DAB (http://www.videologic.com/Releases/Release.asp?ID=173) and also Dab-1 (http://hificorner.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Store_Digital_Radio_4.html)
is there a site with DAB stations available ?
are the BBC ones there , such as RADIO 1 ?
thanks

Have a look at www.ukdigitalradio.com for info on all aspects of DAB. All the BBC stations are available, including a few that are exclusive to DAB.
