Question:

firstly i would like to say a big hello to every one.
just registered with the forum.
hav a problem,
just purchesed a dvd player from abroad, and i am having tuning problems.
i hav a beko tv.
i have tuned in the picture, but i still here a humming sound, tryed fine tunning on two diff tvs but still is the same.
:(
i would like to point out that i am useing a little white box "vcd converter where the 3 wires plug into "red white and yellow color) as my tv doesnt have those options. also i am using an rf lead to connect the tv to the box then the box is connected to the dvd player by the 3 colored leads.
please can some body help.

hello, welcome to the forums.
Right, the box is causing the problem.
You need to tune into the box correctly, which TBH is completely non DVD Related, it is most likely that the signal to the box is fine, its the signal from the box that is ausing the problems.
If you have a scart socket on the back of your TV I suggest you go to town today and get a scart converter that will take your red white (audio) and yellow (video - probably composite, possibly S-Video) to a scart socket and you won't have to worry about tuning it in.
Hope that helps.
Otherwise, if you can get Scart from your DVD to Scart in your TV then that will be even better, but I presume it may not have a scart on the DVD player since it is a foreign player - were abouts is it from (Europe, America, australia?).

Yeah, you will probably not have a scart socket on a player from India but as long as you have one on the TV then that will do the trick.
Probabl worth takin the cables into town so the can tell you which one you need.
