Question:
This may be me being a bit dim but.....
I've just taken delivery of brand new Hitachi D36WF840N (DTT tuner), and I'm well chuffed with it. The picture and geometry are fantastic (Panasonic tube).
I've got one little problem though. I can't seem to record properly from the telly to my newish Panasonic VCR. The VCR is working perfectly, just checked it out on another TV.
I've connect it like this...
TV out scart on the VCR to AV1 on the TV
RF in on the VCR to RF out on the TV
RF out on the VCR to the RF arial socket on the TV
The scart lead is a good fully pined and screened one.
I have tried recording with the VCR set at AV1 and AV2 but all I get is the sound on playback.
I have been into the AV setup menu on the telly and set AV1 to vcr and the recording type to VHS.
The VCR is a Panasonic NV-FJ610
Any ideas?
VCR SCART > TV SCART
Aerial > VCR RF in
VCR RF out > TV aerial socket
Make sure the VCR is tuned correctly.
Set the VCR to whichever channel you want to record, say BBC1 (*not* AV1/AV2), and hit record.
Cheers Baps. Does that mean I'll be routing the ITVdigital feed through my VCR 1st and then on to the TV?
Didn't want to do that, if poss, 'cause then I'll have to power up the VCR before I watch the telly. That is just tooo much work.:)
Also, won't that mean I'm recording an analogue channel??
Cheers
