is my TV too big?
Question:

I have a fairly small bedroom and around two weeks ago, we splashed out on a nice 32" widescreen TV, but every night we have gone to bed with a headache after watching it. before hand we had a 24" widescreen and it was fine. we do tend to watch TV in the dark too, but my mate says its because its too big for sitting so close thats whats causing the head-aches. is he right? i'd hate to have to sell it to get a smaller telly.

I'll swap you my 20" for your 32" if you want?
but seriously, you might want to have some ambient lighting in the back ground behind the TV. This will lessen the glare from the TV which is what is probably causing the headeaches

I have the same problem now and again. I have a 32" widescreen in my small bedroom, I watch it from my bed which is about four foot away.

agree with mickl there. I used to watch TV in the dark before but now have some lights on in the room. Even a small desk lamp would do if you put it somewhere out of your line of vision. Funny how it nevers happens at the cinema

In a cinema you are watching reflected light, watch a tv in the dark is watching a CRT gun beam light into your eyes:nuts:
