Help!!
Question:

My TV has popped, i need a new one urgently and am uprating.
Whats the best 28"widescreen TV you can buy with a £1000 price limit.
All help appreciated!!

Answers:

You'd get a good nicam 32" for £1000 now. Most Phillips, Sony, Panasonic or Toshiba should be good!

Answers:

Yeah, i know but im after a " top of the range " 28" tv.
Anyone know what the critics think the best is at the mo?

Answers:

For top of the range you should look at the Loewe ranges. Large debenhams and HOF have them on show.

What do you mean. I'm assuming:-
100 hz
Dolby Digital / DTS decoder
Pure Flatscreen
£1k may be pushing it, but you'll get most of these features if not all.
If none of those features are neccesary then you may as well get a 32?

Answers:

The 100 hz is important witha pure flat screen.
The intergrated decoder is practically useless as its never as good quality as a seperated system.
32" would also be acceptable, but its important that its a very good make.

Then take a look at Empire Direct.
You should easily get a 100hz 32" for a grand! Toshiba do some good ones with component inputs which is useful if your DVD supports this!

Answers:

See if you can find the Toshiba 32ZD26P for around £1000, it's RRP is £1300, but you should be able find it cheaper than that:
100Hz
3 scarts
Component video inputs
NTSC progressive scan
.....Just had a quick look on Pricerunner (http://uk.pricerunner.com/sound-and-vision/vision/tv/99403/prices) and it's around £900! It got 5 stars on What Hi-Fi and it was reviewed as if it cost £1300, might be worth putting it on your shortlist.
