Question:
A friend of mine is looking for an "all in one" home cinema system.
Price range £250 max.
I don`t know much about these systems as I have preferred to go down the seperates route.
I have tried to explain to him that he aint going to get much for his money, o`r is there a half tidy one out there.
Anybody have any suggestions to which one offers the best performance in this budget range.
I've got a Sony DAV300S system which is excellent, you may be able if you are lucky to find one of these around that mark, they were about £400-450 when first released. :)

he really needs to spend more to get a half decent system, otherwise he might as well not bother:( Also you don`t say if you need a DVD player. Cheapest option i can think of thatsa "all in one" would be the Pioneer HTD5. Although he should really stretch his budget and go for the new Sony DAVS550.
Cheers
Anyone have any experiences with the Aiwa HT-DV1
QED have it at £237.95
I can`t seem to find any reviews on it :oh-hum:
He could get a Videologic DD Digitheatre and a budget DVD player.
A little extra and he could get the Digitheatre DTS - they sell for about £200 (second hand)
Ive just got the Samsung HT-DL70 DD/DTS/Pro logic all in one kit. Pretty impressed for only £269 from the electric company- I dont pay anything for 12 months!
Easily made mutli region via handset hack . The only gripe I have with it is it has no digital audio in.If you need to connect another dvd player to it.(God knows why cos it plays everything anyway?)
You will only get dolby surround or various other setting- not digital. Wasnt sure about a multi region hack for it- it was an impulse buy on the day- but I soon found one online! Alos converts to pal 50 BUT no macrovision disbabled.
