Question:
where the best place to buy dts and speakers cheap iv got about £300 to £400 pounds at the most to spend. i dont know much about them. can i buy a dvd player with dts and speakers all in one like you can when you get thease dvd players with 5.1 speakers. thank you.
Erm, have you tired the link at the top of the screen?
What would you prefer?, seperates?, all in one packages??
I have a Digitheatre DTS
can be found here http://www.videologic.co.uk/Products/homeentertainment.asp along with some others
Had it around 2 years now and am very happy with it. It's an all in one unit minus the DVD player and i use it for all my movies as well as playing CDs through it via the DVD player.
It's probably not as good as a dedicated seperate set up but it's reletively cheap and compact, easy to set up and maintain.
DTS discs sound fantastic (Fast and the Furious) as does the Dolby Digital soundtracks (LOTR being a new favourite).
Are you going to use it as a main system or tucked away in a spare room/bedroom?
I have mine in my bedroom but tbh i think it could take place in any modest front room.
Cheap and very very cheerful :DDigitheatre DTS (http://www.videologic.co.uk/Products/Product.asp?Product=VL-60483)

That amount would buy you either a half decent seperates pack, or an all in one. The choice is yours;)

roby?? :D
Well i got my system from an online store http://www.savastore.com/watford/ who were very prompt with delivery. This was over two years ago now and i paid £375 (or near as dammit) for it so i would say £400 is a lot of money for something reletively old.
I'm sure i've seen them go for much cheaper in the bargain forums. Places like Comet/Dixons might stock them for a hundred less.
I actually have an all black system it wasn't until last year i think that they produced the silver model (the one in my original link). I do think the silver model is more money although the specs are pretty much identical so if i was you i'd search around for the older black model, unless you want the silver of course.
EDIT: D'oh wrong web addy :o

Or you could save yourself over £100 and go for a similar idea such as a yamaha VS10 or Sony HTBE1 - digitheatres are well known for having a lovely mains hum....
