Eltax Speakers
Question:

All,
I have jsut bought the Pioneer VSXD510 Amp with DTS and DD, and am looking for some speakers to go with it.
I am currently looking at the Eltax range in Richer Sounds
i.e Eltax Starlight £100, Eltax Hollywood £150, Eltax Silverado £108, or Gale Moviestar £120
Could anyone recommend which of these are any good, or any other alternatives.
Does anyone know where I could get any reviews of these speakers???
Thanks for your help!

Answers:

I would go with the Eltax HT2 center and rears but I don't know what front's match.

Answers:

I have the Sony 1070 amp, and have two HT2 centers, a pair of HT2 surrounds and a pair of C205 floorstanders (which I paid £59 @ Richer Sounds).
They were my cheap n cheerful option and I have to say perform perfectly well at the mo. I dont intend to replace them until I can get something substantially more upmarket.

As it is probably your first foray into home cinema, go for whatever is within your budget as any of the speaker packages you've mentioned will give you great sound for your movies but are maybe not ideal for music.
If it were my money, I would go for the slightly dearer Mission and Eltax combination package at £180.I think this would give you more bang for buck than the other packages and the Mission 702e fronts have proven themselves to be more than adept at handling music, whereas the others are a bit of an unknown quantity.
Only way to really find out, what is best for your needs, is to arrange a demonstration of all the aforementioned speaker packages that you're interested in with Richer Sounds. They are more than happy to do this, and it might take you the best part of the day comparing them at least you'll be able to make a decision based on how the speakers sound to your ears rather than what other people think in reviews and members of forums like these!
Hope that helps my good man!
