Question:
I am thinking of buying a Sony 735 remote to replace the crappy thing with my 905.
Can someone who has one please post the OEM and model number for the remote.
I think it starts with RM....

Nah, had a Pronto but TBH it's a bit of a luxury item. I used to really like the old 735 remote, it was big but quality. I'm sure it will still work on the 905!

sony use the same generic codes for their components so it shouldn't be a a problem.

The only 2 buttons I see a problem with are the ones labelled:-
SACD multi/2ch
SACD/CD
Apart from that same on screen display etc.
Don't have any SACD's so shouldn't be a problem for the time being!
The weird thing is that the 905 has a jog shuttle on the front of the player but not on the remote.
I actually think Sony jumped the gun and cocked up on the remote. It definitely needed a jog shuttle dial.
