Question:
Can anyone recomend a multi-region player which will also play MP3s and CDs. Not fussed about any other features other than it has to actually work without any serious problems. Looking to spend as little as possible!
EDIT: True pal output of ntsc dvds (is this pal 60 or pal 50, I can never remember) would also be good.
ASDA do some £69 plays, which Im sure are region free, if not the pacific is 89 in asda.
The £69 Apex at Asda is not multiregion ,unless anyone knows different. The complicated firmware hacks for the US equivalent player don't work on this UK model :(
The £69 Alba 108 at Argos fits your bill. Its multiregion out of the box and plays MP3 and of course regular CDs. I don't know if it outputs PAL50 (UK standard PAL).Its actually a pretty nice looking player too ( by that i mean the casing looks stylish).
Richer sounds had some Limit (at £49) and Acoustic Solutions (at £69) that fitted your requirement but they are now out of stock.
