Question:
hey all
need a DVD player.
price limit is about £200 - £250
i want a multi-region one (or one that can be easily hacked to be multi-region)
i plan to get a nice 5.1 surround system in the future so i would like one that would be compatible with this (doesnt have to have decoder built in)
any info ?
cheers
looking to buy the scan SC2500
someone stop me if im a fool for buying this....
Or you could get a Pioneer DV-350 or DV-454 from Home Cinema Heavan (http://www.homecinemaheaven.com/)
i stopped myself becuase a friend recommended the Yelo800
and also whilst i was looking at that i noticed the Sony DVPNS700
any comments on these two?

I got a Pioneer too, the 545, top machine.
i also have a Pioneer 530 with 5.1 setup and it ROCKS
Why not buy a magazine such as home cinema choice to help you to identify what DVD player you need.
I think Pioneer, Toshiba or Sony is the one to watch out for around 300-500 quids price range.

lol no i just needed a nickname a few years ago so i just thought of a random name

stick to Toshiba or Pioneer and you wont go wrong.
stay away from the lesser known brands like Yelo and scan, there not bad but not that reliable either and if anything goes wrong with them youll be looking at a new player.
