Question:
I've just bought a new amp from richer sounds, i got the aiwa digital/dts one there selling, having just connected everything up, i can get any digital sound.....
The dvd player is the dansai 1010 and i've connected it thorugh the optical connection, also i cant get any sound from my sub.
Any suggestions???

Do you have the digital out turned on on your DVD? Some players let you downconvert DD to DPL and you have to tell them to output as bitstream to get a digital feed (and this is usually to only way to get DTS)
dunno anything about the dansai/aiwa but general advice:
- Is the player set to output a digital bitstream?
- Have you setup the sub in the amp?
I've set those settings in the dvd player, but i get nothing. do ya think the amp could be dodgy?
are you getting anything thru the analog conenctions?
On my amp, you also have to set whether you're using optical or coaxial.
I'm getting sound through the analog. i'll check the amp setting wether you have to set it to optical/coaxial.
