A problem with my Pioneer Ondigital box
Question:

I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as me.
The clock will not keep it's time.
I've gone into the menu and put the right time in but as soon as I swith the box to standby and swith it back on again, the time is wrong again.
Last night I recorded a programme which was on in the early hours but the box was still on hours after it should have switched itself off. Is something wrong with the timer aswell as the clock?
It only started going haywire last night. I actually have another in the bedroom (Pioneer) and also noticed this morning that it's time was out by an hour.
Perhaps the BBC are testing their new services and its effecting the box?
It's driving me mad.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

No idea as I rarely used the timer for my old pioneer box. I just select the correct channel and let the video do the work.
Nowday I got Sky Digital. I had it for a couple of days and you can change channel at certain time by choosing program to watch.

I've never set the time manually on either my Pace or Pioneer. It appears to pick up the correct time off-air whenever it is switched on. After a power cut, it shows 00:00 (or is it --:--?) until it is switched on. Then, when put back into standby, it shows the correct time.
I wonder if the broadcaster has been broadcasting the wrong time (not that I've noticed, but it could be a local transmitter thing) or if all your own clocks and watches are still on GMT?
Failing that, try disconnecting it from the Mains for a few minutes and then restarting it.

Information and solution to this problem can be found over at digitalspy:

Press info while on a BBC channel and it should reset the time to the correct value.

I have to correct my earlier post. My two boxes did the same thing yesterday. They appeared to correct themsleves at about 2200. As suggested at digital spy (link above) it seems that the wrong time is being transmitted. How annoying.

Thanks for information.
At least I know it's not my box that's the problem.:)

Tried it again last night. Irrespective of which programme I was watching when I switched the box on or off, the time remained correct. I presume that the transmission problem has gone away.

The clock may (or may not) be back working, but now and next looks like it'll be broken until October...
