Question:
I bought a Toshiba SD100-E from Richer Sounds for £225 about 18 months ago and at the same time purchased their extended warranty that guarantees you 50% of the purchase price if you trade in.
Would they go for me trading in my DVD player for exactly the same model, given that it is now half the price it was when I bought it ?
Can't see why not..
Of course they would..
Though if changing it seems daft to go for the same model. You won't be gaining anything - infact you would be losing out on some of your guarantee period.
You have another 18 months guarantee (assuming 3 yr and not 5 yr cover) in which you can get 50% buy back if a better player comes up cheaply.Better to change for a higher specced player if changing.
I just wondered whether they'd be a bit snotty about it !
Can anyone recommend any good players around the £160 mark in Richer Sounds, as I figure this would be quite an upgrade from the Tosh and I'd only have to put £50(ish) to it...
Cheers,
Gaz
But, as Simes says, unless there is a particular feature you want now, it would make more sense to hold on to your current player for another 12-18 months then trade it in for the same money. Imagine what that will buy by then!
I think the Sony 700 is cheap at Richers..
There's not a any particular features I'm after but my Tosh has started to become a little temperamental...it keeps freezing !!
So has my Arcam Alpha 7 cd player for that matter...that won't play long (over 65 minute) discs anymore...
It must be the air in Hinckley screwing around with lasers !!:)
