Question:
If I was to buy a DVD with Dolby Digital (6.1) EX & DTS ES 6.1 as the audio tracks available, would it still work fine on my Digitheatre DTS, which just does the normal DD and DTS.
I'm assuming that I will get the normal 5.1 sound, but as it doesn't actually mention it on the DVD I thought I would ask first.
The DVD in question is LOTR 4-disc if it makes any difference.

yes the format is backwards compatible, you will only get the 5.1 sound
