Question:
hooked me dvd player (Proline 1000) to my stereo through digital, but whenever i play a dvd i just get a fuzz sound coming out, so thought the port might be nacked, so put a cd in the dvd player, and the sound comes out fine through my stereo, so i'm not sure whats going on really, i've tried different regions btw, and still get the same thing.
is it set to bitstream output?
What stereo is it ?
Are you sure when you put a CD in and it works, are you sure it's not using a analogue conection ?

Its (probably) because your players set to bitstream output, and your stereo doesn't understand Dolby Digital. Set your player to output PCM and it should be fine.
