Question:
Anyone managed to achieve this? Will Wharfedale Tescos have a supply of spare remotes? or is there some universal standard whereby I can get a similar remote that sends the same signals...

Unfortunately it works on rolling codes so you'll need to get an original wharfdale remote. Look in the back of the manual for a contact no.

Thanks for your help guys. After NeilS's comment I dug out the manual, rang the 'helpline' which turned out to be Tescos but the guy on the phone said that for 17.50 they'd send me one out - I paid by card over the phone and then ten minutes later got a call from someone at a different office who got my machine serial number and said that the remote would be couriered to me within 10 days, and they could courier it to work as well.
Pretty amazing if it comes within the ten days - especially the call back for further info...
