Anybody with shaolin soccer and sony dvd player(especially 725) please look!!!!!!!!
Question:

I recently bought shaolin soccer on dvd from coolasop but can't get it to work on my sony, other r3 dvd's work o.k and i've even tried setting it to r3 manually but no luck. It seems to just keep spinning and stopping, do you think this is a dodgy disk. Thing is it seems to play on my cyberhome dvd player.
Any ideas appreciated!!!!!

If all other discs play fine on your player, and no one else seems to have a problem then you may have a misprint,,I took my Don Henley DVD back when that did the same thing, that ended up being a Misprint. Replacement work's fine,,Misprints do happen sometimes and it only takes a small one on a DVD to rendor it useless, I was told it was about 1 in about 500 but quality control usually picks them out but a few sometimes slip the net! It's Sods law if you get one. (I've had 3 CD's and just the One DVD that have been Misprints)

OT but... I had a misprinted CD a couple of months ago, no matter what CD player I used it got 10 minutes into the first track, then hit whatever the problem was and kept looping about the same 3 seconds. Bizarre thing was, it just got totally locked into playing those three seconds and I couldn't get it out of my CD or DVD players without switching them off at the mains, same on the PC just seemed to get locked in the drive, very odd.

Nujol : It wasn't the 'Queen Greatest Hits' one was it?, The 2nd Disc of mine was a Misprint. Apparently they're due to the speed in which they are cut and during a 'Switch over'
Another problem sometimes is when the back coating is being spray'd on and the machine starts to run out you sometimes get minuite 'Speckling', causing a simular Problem to a misprint, though I've been told this is ultra rare and hardly ever pass through Quality Control.
I even have a CDROM that was supposed to be the 'Oxford Multimedia Dictonary' but, when you load it up,is instead a 'Dr. Hilary Jones' Health and Fitness Title!! .
