Question:
My sister wants to buy a new all-in-one system (DVD player, speakers and amp/receiver) to replace the useless Sony one she got that has fallen to pieces in the 2-3 months she's had it for.
Can anyone recommend any good models/retailers?

What budget?
:D
About £500?
Aiwa's HDTV90 (might be a different name) is pretty good. Last seen for £299 in high street so might be worth shopping around. Can be made multi-region through handset hack.
It's lacking some bass due to a passive sub but for that price I think it's okay.
This months what hifi has a supertest on all in one systems.
The Sony DAV-S550 was the test winner and it got 5 stars. They even said it was impressive with music playback, £100 more than you wanted to pay though.
Also the pioneer dcs-303 did well.
I think the S550 was the one which fell apart - so will be avoiding that...
Pioneer all in ones are nice. The NS-DV55 are going pretty cheap now.
