Question:
I have a cheap setup for my brothers bedroom who is lodging with us till he is sorted out blah blah blah
He has an old TV set with just a standard TV arial socket in the back and his DVD player has scart and S-video is the any way he can hook that dvd player to that TV?
thru a video with scart
The video cuts off when its not playing or recording. is there anyway of stopping that??
My video goes into some sleep mode as well, but it still displays whats on the RF/AV channels. Maybe get your bro to sit on the remote and move every few minutes
The DVD player needs to have macrovision turned off as well.
LOL thanks anyway mate.
I guy called AJB gave this reply on the AV forums.
You need to invest in an RF modulator. Get a scart to three phono leads and connect this to the DVD player. The phonos then connect to the modulator and produce a picture and sound on the RF channel of your choosing. You then tune the TV to the channel you chose and hey presto!
yeh, thats another option, need to buy more kit though :)
