I am told you can switch off the interactive bit by selecting red then backup.
I guess from my experience on ITV Digital receiver I can select subtitles on automatically with digital subtitles via the menu and it will switch off interactive tv (BBC) dog. Is that possible for Sky Digital.

you mean turn on subtitles to get rid of the red dot thing? with sky digi, subs are either on or off.
Pressing backup removes the annoying red dot - but only for each channel change.
Pressing BACKUP usually removes the red dot until you change channel OR an advert break. Pressing RED then BACKUP usually removes the red dot until you change channel.
Well don't worry about it I will find out on Thursday morning. It will be fun to have a play around. I got nothing else to do as I am not working ;-(
