Question:
My beloved Warfdale 750s has started to crash. It'll get a random length of time into a film and the lockup. The screen remains frozen and un-responsive to any buttons. Even the pover button on the front doesn't work. It then has to be turned off at the wall. However it doesn't always come back on when the wall socket is turned on again. You have to leave it for 5/10 mins!
Is it dead? Or easily fixable?
Only a guess but could it be overheating? My one used to suffer audio dropouts (on both Dolby and DTS soundtracks) randomly. If you have something on top of it (other electrical kit, piles of DVDs - that sort of thing) it might be causing the problem.
It seems very odd that the power switch doesn't work though.
i used to get the sound drop-outs, on DTS mostly. Had to put it next to an open window to watch saving private ryan! Maybe there's crud blocking the vents, I'll check it out
