Question:
I'm looking for a new main player and one that fits this bill would be ideal.
Multireagion and Macrovison free by hack or mod.
Plays NTSC as Pal50
Plays Dvd-R,Cdr,vcd,svcd
2 Scarts
Available in black
and of course excellent picture and sound quality.
I also have a preference for Pioneer kit but I don't think they do one that fits the bill but if you know better LMK.
All recomendations greatly appreciated.

Only sort of player you`ll get that offers NTSC as PAL50 will be one of the rebadged cheapo Chinese models, or one of the older samsung / LG models.

Some JVC and Hitatchi models will do NTSC as PAL50, but i can't find any that fulfill all of BOZZDUDE's other requirements.
As you say, looks like a Chinese make will have to do.

Available at richer sounds but its expensive at £300 and no macro off. www.sonel.com for that @£30
Toshiba SD-420E does have PAL 50 output of NTSC discs, only one I've seen, but doesn't fulfill the rest off your demands. Lacking in SVCD support and only one SCART connector. Can't find many even higher end players with PAL 50 output, even the model up by Toshiba.
