Question:
I'm looking to upgrade my DVD player to a Pioneer DV656A (when it's released) . However, whether I can afford it depends on how much I could get for my current DVD player and CD player. I've got a Samsung 709 (multi-region which is manually selectable so it can play CRE discs) and a Sony CDP-XE530 cd player. Both are not boxed but with manuals & remotes and a re in very good condition.
How much do you reckon I could get for these, and is Ebay the best place to sell em?
The Sony's at Richer Sounds for £100 and I've seen them for sale used at around £75 at a dealer, but you'd get a guarantee with that so for a private sale you may have to expect less.
The Sammy was £250 to start with but then dropped; someone was trying to sell their 709 a couple of months ago here http://www.findit.co.uk/video/315071.htm for £100, but I don't know how typical that price is.
If you want to go the auction route, in my experience Ebay is good, but whatever happens you will need to sub the cost of a DV656A as there's no way you will get enough to cover the price of that.
Depreciation :( but good luck anyway :)
Thanks. I knew the sale of the 2 players would only be a subsidy and that I'd have to fork out some money for it.
