Question:
Is the 350 the replacement for the 444? They look identical so I'm guessing it is and also I have read that it uses a lot of the same bits and pieces as the 444.
I have just got a 350 and I like it, as does my mate who also wants one but his current player as optical out and the 350 has coax. For the cost of a coax cable I thought it might be better just to get a player with optical out, such as the 444.
If the 444 is now discontinued then where's the best place to get a good quality digital coax and what's a good price?
TIA
a coaxial can be had for a few quid.
The 454 is apparently the 350 with optical out.
And with slightly different button design (bet 454 & 350) ;)
I think I'll recommend a 454 to my mate as I've found a multiregion one for 155 including shipping, only a fiver more than I paid for my 350.
Cheers for the advice.

Totally different internally, as are all the new Pioneers. has a newer chipset, new GUI and features that the Dv444 didn`t have.
basically Dv444 & Dv545 are replaced by DV350 and Dv454, and DV646A replaced by DV656A.
Hope that helps.
