In answer to your questions: Yes it is, and buy a new one for £99 from Richer Sounds.
I have a Marantz 5200 firing through a 77c1, 773's front, 77ds's rear, and a Tannoy MC for centre rear effects, and it sounds good to me. The 77c1 is an excellent centre.

Thanks for that :)

This is exactly the setup i'm wanting:
Marantz sr5200 (£340 from richersounds)
Mission 773e floorstanders (£199.99 from Sony Centre)
Mission 77c1 centre (£99 from richersounds)
Mission 77ds rears (£99 from richersounds)
Is this a good combination? am trying to get down to richersounds to get these today but it's so damn hot I don't fancy trying to carry all this back to my car!

I would phone to see if richer have the stock in. If they have the 77ds in stock give me a shout.

I rang Richer's in Manchester last week after my 77C gave up the ghost (my daughter thought it would be fun to turn to amp up all the way to 11) and they had stock (even of Rosewood).
However, I had the speaker repaired; had it running with 774s, and 77DS for about three years now and it's a superb centre speaker for the money.

As you'll see from my post above, they form the core of my set-up and while the 77 series is a little long in the tooth, in its time it was a multi award winner, and still sounds the business. I have a HTPC (TheatreTek, M-Audio 2496 and Radeon 7500) doing the playback via a PTAE-100, and the sonics more than hold their own.
I also have a Tannoy MC doing the rear centre duties, and an MJ Acoustics Pro 50 handling the low end. Without a rear centre and sub, you won't get the full benefit of the Marantz's generic 6.1 decoding.

Chances are you won't find the 77ds at Richer Sounds, like most of the stuff they advertise they haven't got any and won't be getting any more. I phoned the number on their website and they told me they wouldn't be getting any more and that the website needed updating!
If you do manage to track some down please let me know.

I rang them yesterday, and they have the marantz sr5200 in stock plus the mission cinema 7 speaker pack, which consists of the 773e, 77c1 and 77ds. i've reserved them and are pikcing them up on the weekend so i'm happy.

Did you ring a branch, or the mail order number?
I've already got my fronts & centre, so can't purchase a pack.

Answers:

I rang the kingston-upon-thames branch.
