A remote extender?
Letsautomate has them especially for hidden components (in cupboards etc) but the sites gone
Best make sure the remote doesn't use RF rather than IR signals though.

o my rescue again..:)
How do these connect...?

Answers:

A small receiver sits on the outside of the cupboard and the transmitter/repeater sits in front of the component, not sure if they require a power source/batteries though.

also check first...NTL (and Telewest for that matter), although they use IR, they use IRDA which is different.
I'm not sure the remote extenders work with IRDA...
I'll have a go tomorrow if I get a chance... (got NTL but never use it.. Sky D preferred).
the LetsAutomate folks should know though... ask if necessary.
