Once you have learned a movement or the form try doing it
- with a weight vest and wrist weights
- Fast
- with just one hand
- small circles
- big circles
- in the opposite direction
- diagnally across the room
- hands or feet only
- lying down
- blindfolded
- on a hill
- in the snow and ice
- too small a space
-drunken Tai Chi with and without drinking

interesting... once I've mastered the form (few years to go then!), I will learn it 'wrong handed'. I do already practice lying down or sitting down (well, if you mean running through the form in my head at correct speed), have tried on ice (it really makes you think about rooting!), too small a space (all the time [&:]). blindfolded (eyes closed anyway).
i've been thinking about using a knife or sword with the form... it makes you question how you really carry out the movements.

Darren, when you are sitting or lying try doing just your hands and then just your legs to test yourself.
