Question:
Hi all,
I am booked onto a Thermo Auricular Therapy course in February - Im doing it with Allison Walker in Nottingham who is doing the Sue/Linda course!
I'm really looking forward to it, and can't wait!
Can any one give me an example of what the training day is like please? I want to be prepared!
peace & love

Hi,
I did mine with Sally Todd at UK Holistics, I really enjoyed the course...I did a therapists course ( 1 day instead of 2 days, as I already had all the A&P stuff) we went through history, A&P, contraindications, the treatment itself with plenty of practice( that's the best bit) record keeping, insurance and loads more stuff.... I love doing this treament...its definately my daughters favorite out of all the therapies I do!!!
Hope you enjoy your course,
Lisa x
it looks like a long day then! thanks for sharing lisa!

With Sue and Linda's course, which is the one you're doing, you do all the theory in the morning and then give and receive a treatment in the afternoon. Don't enjoy it too much though as you then have a test on the theory at the end of the day!
Afterwards you have to do three case studies and an assignment.
There's a lot to take in so make sure you study the notes which you should get before the course.
Good luck....and enjoy!
Lesley
oooh, ive not received any notes or anything yet - but it is over a month away.....!

You should get them two weeks to ten days before.

I did my course with Linda and didn't get any study notes before the course. It wasn't a problem and I didn't find the test at the end of the day particularly taxing. Alison Walker was with Linda that day. We have exchanged emails about courses since and I have found her very friendly and professional.
I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy your day.
I didn't expect to do a lot of treatments but last week alone I did five!!!

I got my course notes from Linda on the day as well, so don't worry. You'll be fine.

I have emailed Alison a couple of time, she does seem very nice :)

Hi Lisa :)
I am booked on Sally Todds course on the 22nd of Feb - I'm really looking forward to it and your positive comments about her particular course has enthused me all the more!
Since qualifying as a massage therapist I have been bitten by the bug and am actually doing reiki this week, followed by IHM and Ear Candling the following week - all with Sally as I thought the consistency would be good.
I had such lovely tutors for my massage training in London that I searched a long time for the right person - initially for reiki - then spoke to Sally and she seemed lovely so the IHM and Ear Candling seemed a natural progression to stay with her.
I see your shop is in Grantham too so might pop my nose around the door one day!!
Anything else you can say about the course I would be interested to hear..
Warmest wishes
